The limited-edition Dulux Kirrily Johnston Colour Palette features key effects and colours that were used in Kirrily’s latest spring/summer 10/11 collection showing at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week.

Kirrily Johnston’s runway collection heavily featured rich reds, browns, greys, bold patterns and metallic embellishments — design traits that inspired the Dulux Kirrily Johnston Colour Palette. Colours include Raw Cotton, Whisper White, Blind Date, Mocha Pearl, Namibia, Smooth Chocolate, Pewter Illusion, Klavier, and Spice of Life.

The Dulux Design Metallic paint colour Pewter Illusion, part of the Dulux Kirrily Johnston Colour Palette, was specially selected by the designer to paint the runway to complement her collection for spring/summer 10/11.

“I imagined a beautiful metallic runway when I was designing my collection, so when I met with Dulux and saw their stunning range, I instantly knew that Pewter Illusion was the colour I would use. The results were excellent. The colour complemented my collection and gave the whole presentation a lift,” Kirrily says.

Kirrily’s stylised look from her spring/summer 10/11 collection can be translated into homes through striped walls, which are increasingly being used in interior design circles to create definition and depth. Bold reds, smooth chocolates and burnt charcoals are perfect for feature colours and metallic and pearl paint can add instant glamour and gleam.
