19 September 2011 Introducing the new VarioSteam oven with Slide and Hide Neff has expanded its range of ovens to include the new VarioSteam® oven with Slide & Hide. The new Neff oven offers the fantastic option of adding moisture to optimise the baking and cooking process — an innovation you’ll never want to live without — to bring the cooking result one step closer to perfection. VarioSteam® injects moisture as steam into the oven’s cavity at various intervals and intensities during operation, providing roasts and baked goods with the ideal amount of moisture as they cook. The ability to add steam to Neff’s VarioSteam® oven while using any of the cooking functions — CircoTherm, top/bottom heat, pizza, bread-baking or CircoRoasting settings — produces better cooking results. Food looks delectable and tastes at its best, as the natural colour and flavours of the food intensify through the injection of moisture. The intensity of the steam can be set automatically or manually to ensure the optimum steam intensity for the particular cooking or baking process. Whether it’s the crispy pizza base; a fluffy cake or a tender, succulent roast, the combination of hot air and steam by virtue of the Neff VarioSteam® oven enables people who love to experiment with different recipes to realise their vision of cooking perfection. Neff’s focus on usability for the consumer, consistency of design throughout the range, aesthetic appeal combined with superb function are embedded in the VarioSteam® oven. Not only offering the ability to rejuvenate day-old foods such as pasta and rice dishes with the Regeneration function, the oven’s capability of cooking on three shelves simultaneously with even heat distribution while avoiding intermingling flavours will excite, as will the nifty NeffLight® feature that allows complete visibility of all oven contents. Neff’s VarioSteam® oven innovative dual-pump water system and convenient SoftEject mechanism to access the water reservoir show why Neff ingenuity was recognised by the highest official recognition there is for product, the Design Award of The Federal Republic of Germany in 2010. Easily accessible and thanks to the convenient SoftEject mechanism, the water reservoir is located in the top left-hand corner of the oven. A simple push of the integrated water reservoir ejects the receptacle, which can then be filled with water and popped back in before setting the desired moisture intensity on the control panel. Fresh water is then pumped out of the oven’s water reservoir and heated in a flow-through heater before it is injected as steam into the oven cavity. Once the cooking process is finished, the water remaining in the system is automatically pumped back into the reservoir, which can then be emptied. This process ensures no stale residual water remains in the lines thus creating a hygienic system. The Neff VarioSteam® oven is underpinned by the design philosophy that a kitchen is much more than just a kitchen and kitchen appliances are more than just appliances. Cooking transcends the task of preparing food into a sensual pleasure in its own right that’s aided by functional design and technical finesse to pave the way for every dish to achieve perfection.
