Think Pink at Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel

The Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel flaunts bright colours and beachy shades that lie somewhere between Miami and Memphis. It’s a celebration of ornamentation that nods its head both to the art deco style of the 1920s and the Memphis style of the 1980s.

Aptly named the Art Hotel, this resort attempts to immerse its visitors in contemporary art with its unique and eye-catching style and colour.

GALLERY

The visitor is first introduced to this theme when walking through the front door. The pink walls of the lobby are lined with pop art and neon lights hang over the reception desk. The hotel has various works of art throughout the halls and the rooms. It was curated by artist Iñaki Domingo and photographer and filmmaker Diana Kunst. The two directed a range of projects focusing on urban art and performance.

There are many gallery spaces in the hotel, which are populated by a steady stream of artists. They are brought in by the program known as Zero Suite Residencies. Devised by the architects, it grants micro workspaces for global artists. Paradiso Ibiza Art Hotel brings these leading international creators to the island, helping them advance their careers and disseminate their art while simultaneously exposing its guests to these creative projects.

The micro workspaces are constructed as transparent cubes where artists may work and stay for free, so long as they don’t mind being spectated throughout the day. The artists already featured include Marcos Torres, Pau Sanz I Vila and Thani Mara, as well as Yoko Honda and Marylou Faure.

Nothing stays the same at Paradiso; the art rooms where guests stay are interactive spaces for artists who intervene between the arrival of new visitors. Every visit to Ibiza is unique.
