The new year has brought with it a range of fresh outdoor furniture collections from DEDON. Introducing MBARQ, a modular sofa collection designed by Sebastian Herkner for Dedon.
German born industrial designer Sebastian Herkner is attracting international attention for his collaborations with an array of luxury brands and MBARQ is no exception. Building on his popular range MBRACE designed in 2016 for DEDON, MBARQ is a versatile outdoor seating system that includes sofa modules, daybed modules and a footstool.
The collection is characterised by deep cushions and a choice of organically shaped backs in different heights. The distinctive curved backrest envelops users in privacy and protective comfort. Inspired by the traditional form of the indoor alcove, the collection gives structure to open outdoor spaces, defining areas in which to work, rest or engage in conversation. MBARQ’s eye-catching organic forms and semi-transparent weave bring a poetic touch to any outdoor setting, inviting users to embark on a journey of relaxation. This outdoor weave is an icon of DEDON’s collections, and is available in a variety of vivid colour options.
The MBARQ collection is made to endure the elements, built from a powder coated aluminium frame and synthetic DEDON fibre. The outdoor cushions are made with durable foams and weather-tested fabrics, allowing comfort and a cosiness often reserved for indoor furniture. Combining the highest levels of comfort, quality and style, DEDON creates luxury outdoor furniture that enables us to enjoy outdoor living without compromises. All materials are carefully selected and finished to ensure products of unsurpassed resistance to extreme conditions. The result is luxurious furniture that endures.
