Dancing in the Moon(LED)light

Brightgreen, a Melbourne-based company known for its directional LED lighting, has just released a new diffuse collection. The company has won numerous awards for its sustainable LEDs, and they are raising the bar (or LED light) higher with this outstanding new collection.

Normally considered a naughty word in LED lighting circles, the company says these diffuse lights create a soft glow that illuminates spaces in the way of a full moon. Hence the ‘Moon Light’ name of the oyster light style collection.

Included in the collection, is a surface-mounted uplight—a design first for the company. The design allows for ambient lighting in spaces that have low ceilings and no room for pendant lights. There are also recessed, pendant, and rigid pole suspended designs available.

The minimalist collection of white and black moon lights measures 120 degrees of soft, diffuse glow that easily lights large spaces without the harsh shadows. The large surface area of the lights also makes the glare less than one might anticipate with diffuse lighting.

A range of sizes from 400 mm up to 1.2 m and colour temperatures from 2700K to 5000K makes the collection accessible for most settings – including outdoors. IP65-rated lights included in the collection mean the moon lights can be taken outside (in case the actual moonlight is insufficient). Both full and half-moon wall lights are part of the outdoor selection.

A 7-year warranty and 70,000-hour lifespan sets these moon lights apart from the market standard, and will have you howling at your new ‘moon’ lighting in no time.
