Pastel ‘swimming-pool’ interior for new restaurant in Turin, Italy

You wouldn’t think the concept of a pastel swimming pool theme would work for a new burger restaurant in the heart of Turin, Italy but it creates a fun, engaging space where diners almost feel like they’re eating ‘underwater’.

This is the second collaboration between Masquespacio and ‘Bun’ hamburger chain, so the project focuses on the already formed brand identity, using three bold colours — green, blue, and pink — to allocate the different areas.

Taking advantage of three pre-existing windows that provide natural light and generous views, the studio has applied three different colours to organize the environment. ‘the idea to play with one colour for each window creates a visual effect from the outside that makes the spectator from the exterior walk from one visual world into the other, traveling through different experiences in the same space,’ says Ana Hernández, creative director of Masquespacio.

The green colour that is amply used and serves as a trademark of the ‘bun’ identity, has been picked to cover the main bar where customers can submit their order. Meanwhile, pink and blue colours guide diners towards two seating areas that are completely different from each other. In the pink zone, guests can gather at a large shared table, where a tribune allows them to sit at different levels. On the other hand, the blue area adopts a swimming pool-like aesthetic, adding a fun touch to the interior.
