Take The ‘Heart’ of the Kitchen to New Levels with Methven

Kitchen taps are no longer just about functionality. On top of looking good, if you’re going to design the kitchen around what you (or your client) wants, there’s no reason to leave out the star of the show.

Methven, a New Zealand-based designer of showers and taps that services the globe, has launched its range of kitchen taps that are stylish space savers and fit to your kitchen layout and shape to the form and function of its space.

As Methven says: “Kitchen tapware choices are plentiful and choosing the correct one for your kitchen requires careful consideration and research.

“There are numerous options available offering new technology and a range of finishes and colours.”

One example of blending functionality and design can be seen in the Culinary Urban Pull Out Sink Mixer (pictured) which features a long and tall tap fitting to ensure water is sent into the middle of the basin but also matches a sleek, thin design of the kitchen around.

The Methven Culinary Gaston Pull Down Sink Mixer has the versatility of a pull-out or pull-down spray option and gives users an easy-to-use hose for their day-to-day use but adds an element of industrialism to the area it sits in.

In the past, there has only been colour, material and finish that dictate the aesthetics of a kitchen fit out. Today, technology and tap design play a bigger role than it has in the past and the Methven range keeps appearance in mind to suit the designers’ vision.
