Area Pro | Slip Resistant Porcelain Stoneware with a Difference

When leading German manufacturer Agrob Buchtal teams up with leading European designer Sebastian Herkner, (2019 Maison and Objet Designer of the Year), to design a new range of floor and wall tiles its time to pay attention! The result is an incredible new range called Area Pro.
Inspired by natural limestone, the range is available in 12 colours that take inspiration from the earthy tones of sand, clay and basalt, complemented by the dark brown of nutmeg and the softness of platinum. Slip resistances range from R10/A through to R12V4. This is where the range becomes compelling; R12V4 surfaces, which are a must in commercial applications with significant liquids present (kitchens, pool concourses, food production facilities), are normally tiled in industrial looking products lacking visual appeal both in terms of colour and surface texture. The new Area Pro range incorporates a textured surface called ‘the Grid’ which is organic and visually interesting while still satisfying the requirements of a V rated surface.
Agrob Buchtal has ensured the range is comprehensive by including a large range of accessories including ceramic channel covers (for pool gutter covers), matching basins and shower trays, wall tiles in three complementary colours (white, grey and beige), stair tiles, internal and external corners and coved skirtings.
Format choices are vast, with Area Pro available in rectangular, square and plank formats, as sheeted mosaics and in extra-large formats including 60x90cm, 60x120cm and 90X90cm. Colours have been designed with Agrob Buchtals’ ChromaPlural range in mind such that infinite combinations are possible which not only look good but offer the same modules enabling well planned room layouts and opportunities for sophisticated patterns.
Area Pro tiles come with Agrob Buchtal’s sustainable Hytect technology which makes them stain resistant and easy to clean (dirt and spills can be easily removed). Hytect also provides antibacterial outcomes as it protects the ceramics from bacteria and mould and neutralises pollutants and odours.
Area Pro is the perfect choice in circumstances where a homogeneous look is required across multiple floor surfaces (back of house to front of house for example) or simply where a high-quality German manufactured tile capable of standing the test of time is required.
