The Cyrus product is built individually with a passion for one thing – high quality audio. The factory is located in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire, England, where all of the products are created. Cyrus design, prototype, tune, manufacture and support the products, both new and historic from a UK headquarters which is unusual for a modern consumer product.
Cyrus is a privately owned company conceived and run with the core principle that, like its customers, focus on premium stereo music systems. In a world where 99 percent of audio manufacturing happens in low cost economies, Cyrus has chosen to build a team of people and expertise in Cambridgeshire, where they are surrounded by a rich pool of excellence in education, technology, high-tech manufacturing and enquiring minds.
Modern manufacturing processes mean that smaller scale, premium products can be successfully manufactured in England. In fact, the decision to locate its manufacturing in one of the world’s most advanced economies, where high-quality is expected, means that it can set its quality standards higher.
The work conducted at the Cyrus factory in Cambidgeshire has led to remarkable advances in DAC design, Power management, CD servo design, and noise rejection. Each of the classic and XR products is housed in hand-finished inverted ‘cast-aluminium’ chassis and fitted with the finest audio components available. Each product is painstakingly hand-finished and soak-tested, taking over four weeks from start to finish to manufacture.
At Cyrus, the goal is to refine its art so that the components transmit more of the subtle details through to your listening room.
