A Kaleidoscope of Colour and Character in Oklahoma

Oklahoma City welcomes a psychedelic funhouse to its music scene. Resonant Head is the new music venue that occupies a previously vacant building. With a vision to create a spot for locals to enjoy music together, local interior design AB Laffite crafted a venue that breaths character and charm in its colourful design.

With space to host small performances, the interior is a visually stimulating and immersive atmosphere for patrons due to its bespoke design. Embracing a sunset hued colour palette and carnival lighting, the venue is a paradise of fun and life.

A key feature of the build is the angular concrete ceiling. Choosing to highlight the geometric form of the ceiling, the roof is lit up by multi-coloured carnival lighting and painted in four different vibrant colours.

Performers will take centre stage on a raised red platform, decorated with silver curtains and neon lighting. Creating a spectacle for the eyes when lit up.

Moving from the dancefloor into the bar and dining zone, yellow-gold laminate, chrome-edge banding, amber glass blocks, mosaic tiles and terrazzo flooring span the area. Creating a cozy nook for patrons to dine and enjoy the music.

Making every corner a bespoke feature, the bathrooms are decked out in checkerboard tiling, retro-coloured sinks and urinals and pill-shaped mirrors that add to the charisma and charm of the venue.

Creating a wonderland of eccentric design, AB Laffite has provided Oklahoma City with a design hotspot to come together and enjoy live music as a community.
