Ceramic tiles from the Craft series by Agrob Buchtal make their own statement and bring any surface to life. High-gloss glazes and intensive colouring create an impressive visual depth and perfectly harmonise with surrounding environments both internal and external.
The impact of heritage design on fashion, lifestyle and technology has not been overlooked by 265- year old German tile manufacturer Agrob Buchtal. Their Craft series employs tunnel kiln technology to produce an earthy artisan range combining clay, fluxes and metal oxides subjected to open flame firing, which in turn gives rise to particularly luminous and intensive colours. The eleven colours reminisce of the mid-century era, range from off-white through to grey hues, olive and golden yellow to amber and blue-green, creating extraordinary aesthetics. Based on the classic strip-tile or subway format, the high gloss glazes offer an impressive optical depth and design freedom.
The Craft tile series are equally suitable for interior and exterior applications including façade surfaces, retail and hospitality feature walls amongst others and can be applied either vertically or horizontally or a combination of both. Wall surfaces can be detailed impeccably with monolithic corners and nosing pieces from the same range.
Agrob Buchtal have enhanced the range dramatically via the inclusion of various 3-dimensional surface profiles including wave, v-pointed, grooved and double tip surface profiles in addition to the standard smooth surface. These articulated surfaces enable a real depth and texture as well as providing amazing opportunities for the light to skip over the surface creating cast shadows and are often used in conjunction with the smooth profile to create varying feature elements in both external facades and interior themes.
The smooth, wave, v-pointed, and grooved profiles come in a format of 240x52mm and the double-tip profile is 240x115mm.
