Premium Shade Solution to Martin Place Office Tower




Shade Factor

Shade Factor were specified by Hassell to supply a shading solution for the award-winning 33 level office tower at 60 Martin place, located within Sydney’s financial hub. With stunning scenic Sydney Harbour views, the shading system had to reflect incident solar radiation and block out as much heat as possible while allowing views of the Harbour to still be accessible.

With this brief, Warema standard external venetian blinds were selected. These precision engineered, German manufactured blinds addressed the project’s needs, including providing relevant photometric data. The team also installed a silent motor to each of the blind systems to allow for quieter working spaces. The motor does not require a cable guidance offering a seamless look to the office interior.

Within this 6-star Green Star building, Shade Factor assisted in Boston Consulting Groups’ tendency fit out by Bates Smart. The Shade Factor team worked on the removal, modification and reinstallation of the Warema external venetian blinds to suit the office design and layout for BCG.
