DEWALT releases new range of chemical adhesives

DEWALT Engineered By POWERS has released two new chemical adhesives, delivering a complete anchoring and installation system for the construction industry.

The DEWALT PURE500+ and EA70-PRO build on the previous solutions, offering improved performance and productivity for tradies across the country.

Both new products provide compliant anchoring solutions for concrete and masonry while dispensing systems improve application effectiveness and efficiency. With comprehensive European Technical Assessment (ETA) pre-qualifications, both new products have been endorsed by the Australian Engineered Fasteners and Anchors Council (AEFAC) giving users the necessary confidence of meeting the stringent requirements of AS 5216-2021 and in turn satisfy the relevant provisions of the National Construction Code (NCC 2019).

PURE500+ is a slow-cure pure epoxy adhesive designed to be used in the most demanding applications. PURE500+ builds on the previous PURE150-PRO and comes with new ETA approvals including a 100-year design life, extensive seismic C1 & C2 approvals for threaded rod and rebar applications and fire resistance approvals.

The second of these new innovative products, EA70-Pro is an Epoxyacrylate adhesive injection system that supersedes PV45-PRO. EA70-Pro is a medium-duty, fast-curing adhesive for threaded rod applications in concrete and masonry substrates. EA70-Pro comes with new ETA approvals for use in hollow and solid brick and substrates such as aerated concrete.

“The EA70-PRO is a two-component 10:1 ratio styrene-free epoxy acrylate adhesive anchoring system designed for use in the installation of the threaded rod of variable length in solid concrete and masonry materials,” Stanley Black & Decker group product marketing manager Justin Goode says.

“This medium-duty, fast-curing formulation is recommended for use in concrete, solid brick and hollow brick materials. Benefits include the Epoxyacrylate formula, additional ETA Masonry approvals, and its anchoring capabilities in water-filled holes.”
