Reclaim Energy wins 2022 Future Energy Industry Leader Award
Reclaim Energy by Solar Thermal Australia has been awarded the prestigious 2022 Future Energy Industry Leader Award at the Victorian Premier’s Sustainability Awards.
The award recognises Reclaim Energy’s contribution to transitioning Victoria to net zero emissions and providing clean, affordable and secure energy by offering the most efficient and smart hot water system in the Australian market.
The system is designed to allow householders to manage their energy consumption in line with their needs and complimenting existing renewable energy technology.
Using industry-leading technology, Reclaim Energy was able to develop a heat pump hot water system to meet the demanding and variable Australian conditions. This means that all Australians can enjoy reductions of up to 80% on their annual energy bills.
“Through our commitment to product innovation and next-generation technology, we truly believe our team has designed a hot water system that is one of the most energy efficient and flexible solutions available in Australia today,” Reclaim Energy managing director Chris Taylor says.
Additionally, the heat pump uses a natural CO2 refrigerant to heat water. This technology is 200-times more environmentally friendly than traditional heat pumps which use synthetic refrigerants. The system by its very design helps householders to significantly reduce emissions.
The Reclaim Energy CO2 Heat Pumps controller has been designed to be complimentary to a household PV system thereby allowing householders to take advantage of any surplus energy they are creating before it gets exported back to the grid.
