Fluke releases the ii900 Sonic Imager

Fluke has released the ii900 Sonic Imager, the first industrial acoustic camera that turns sound waves into real-time images, helping accurately pinpoint leaks at a glance.

The imager detects and locates compressed air, gas and vacuum leaks up to 70m away and detects leaks based on the ASTM E1002-11 Standards. It uses SoundMap technology to visualise both acoustic and visual images while detecting leaks ranging up to 52kHz.

Since the imager works in real-time, users are able to inspect five to ten times faster than traditional methods.

Additionally, with its ease of use, there’s no training required to operate the ii900. Once a user has got the device in their hands, they’re able to detect leaks within minutes.

Using an ultrasonic range, the imager can detect leaks even under noisy conditions and is entirely independent of any ambient temperature or air/gas, regardless of whether it’s indoors or outdoors.
