Refined and versatile: Celata 88 by SpectraFlora

The Experience
Think generous, room-filling sound without the bulk of a floorstander. Celata 88 remains composed at low volume for evenings yet scales effortlessly for entertaining. Bass reaches genuine full-range depth, so in most rooms no separate subwoofer is required. It’s also voiced for real homes—not just treated studios—so it stays balanced and enjoyable in typical living spaces with plasterboard walls, windows and soft furnishings. Sound feels even across the space, so you don’t have to design around a single “sweet spot”—conversation zones, art walls and circulation can stay exactly as planned.

The Look
Celata 88 is crafted like fine furniture. Hand-finished Australian timber, softly radiused edges and carefully matched grain create a calm, premium presence beside bespoke joinery, natural stone and textured fabrics. The proportions read elegant and intentional—an object you’re proud to place, not hide. Customisation is available—from timber tones and sheen levels to coordinated stands—so the speakers can be tailored to your palette and joinery.

Versatility in Layouts

  • Works as a focal pair on refined stands or integrated on a low plinth.
  • Comfortable close to walls and cabinetry, supporting clean floor plans and symmetrical styling.
  • Equally at home in coastal minimal, Japandi, warm modern or gallery-calm interiors; warm timber finishes sit neatly beside TVs and media cabinetry so the system looks integrated, not tech-heavy

Technology, simply explained

  • Shaped front Dynamic Waveguide™: The tweeter sits in a gently sculpted surround, a patent pending design, that helps spread high notes evenly. In practice, this means consistent tone whether you’re on the sofa, at the dining table or moving through the room.
  • Hidden dual Celata® bass system: Two internal 8-inch subwoofers work together inside the cabinet, balancing each other’s movement in SpectraFlora’s in-house developed, patent pending Celata design. You hear deep, controlled bass with less cabinet vibration—so the sound stays tight and the cabinet stays quiet.
  • Graphene-coated magnesium 7-inch midbass: The midrange driver is light yet rigid, so it starts and stops quickly without strain. Voices sound natural, instruments feel relaxed rather than edgy, and the overall presentation is lifelike with excellent texture and presence.

Styling Ideas

  • Light & airy: Natural oak, linen upholstery, pale travertine, brushed nickel.
  • Warm modern: Walnut or ebonised timber, leather, smoked glass, aged brass.
  • Gallery calm: Satin black, gallery-white walls, sculptural lighting and stone.

Easy to Live With
Placement is forgiving, so the pair integrates neatly with existing furniture plans and media cabinets. No extra subwoofer box to place. Designed to perform without special acoustic treatment, making it a straightforward, high-impact upgrade in real-world rooms.

Sustainability & Origin
Handcrafted in Victoria using responsibly sourced local timbers. Built to be kept in use for decades—luxury with a lighter footprint.
