Barbie Meets Bauhaus in Bold New Bathroom Collection

Barbie™ and German design company HEWI have joined forces to launch a sanitary collection that brings together timeless Bauhaus-inspired design and Barbie’s unmistakable pink-hued world.

The 2025 Barbie x HEWI collection spans nearly 40 products, including towel holders, folding support rails, soap dispensers, and toilet brush sets, all designed to be both functional and inclusive.

Rooted in HEWI’s German design legacy and Barbie’s global cultural influence, the collaboration reimagines the bathroom as a space where individuality and accessibility are celebrated. HEWI, founded in 1929 in Bad Arolsen, has long been a pioneer in architectural hardware and sanitary solutions, guided by the principles of Universal Design. Barbie, created in 1959 by Mattel, has evolved into a global icon representing optimism, self-expression, and diversity, with more than 175 variations across body types, skin tones, abilities, and hairstyles.

The partnership merges these distinct legacies. HEWI’s clarity of form and functionality translates into user-friendly sanitary products, while Barbie infuses them with vibrant colour and personality. Pink, long associated with the doll, takes centre stage in the collection. The palette ranges from soft pastels to bold accents, complementing the clean lines of HEWI’s 477/801 series. The result is a series of fixtures that combine practicality with joy, warmth, and a confident splash of personality.

The collection is as versatile as it is playful. Products can be installed in boutique hotels, private residences, or healthcare environments, offering designers and homeowners the freedom to mix monochrome black-and-white with subtle pink accents or go all-in on Barbie pink. Signature pieces, such as the pale pink toilet roll holder paired with the three-tone toilet brush set in pink, black, and white, demonstrate how colour, form, and function can work in harmony.
