Future Proofing your Interiors

Last month we spoke about Editor-in-Chief Kate St James’ recently released ebook, Future Proofing your Interiors.

Kate will be speaking on the topic in Sydney on Thursday 26 November.

This talk is designed to help people better understand how to make building interiors healthier, more environmentally friendly and energy and waste efficient. A prominent topic considering every building has an impact on the environment. In fact, buildings use 40 per cent of the world’s energy, emit 40 per cent of the world’s carbon footprint, and use 20 per cent of the world’s available drinking water.

Topics covered include lifecycle analysis, product stewardship and why NABERS, GECA, Green Tag and other certification standards are becoming increasingly relevant to modern interior designers and why choosing low-impact materials, energy-efficient, long-lasting and recyclable products makes good design sense.

A free event not to be missed, registration is now open. For more information, visit the website
