Gemini Mini Kiosk

Featuring ForestOne’s MEGANITE® Acrylic Solid Surface

Gemini Mini, a vibrant dessert kiosk at the south entrance of Karrinyup Shopping Centre, brings the playful charm of its Perth CBD café into a compact 3x6m footprint. Designed by Urbani Design, the kiosk fuses Asian influences with a modern Western aesthetic, using a bold palette of oranges, bronzed accents, and halo lighting to create an energetic and inviting space.

Gemini Mini Kiosk

At the heart of the design is MEGANITE® Acrylic Solid Surface in Soft Statuario – selected for the main curved counter that seamlessly wraps around the kiosk. Thanks to MEGANITE’s thermoformability, the counter was moulded into soft, flowing curves that mirror the contours of patisserie desserts. Beyond its design versatility, the premium solid surface is 100% Crystalline Silica-free, non-porous, and hygienic – delivering a practical performance and making it the ideal choice for hospitality settings. MEGANITE’s seamless joins create the look of a single sculpted piece, while the smooth, freshly iced cake-like finish ensures both durability and easy maintenance in a high-traffic retail environment.

By combining MEGANITE’s material advantages with clever spatial planning, the kiosk delivers both beauty and function. A custom refrigerated cabinet is stepped within the curvature of the counter, while orange halo lighting beneath enhances MEGANITE’s sculptural presence, casting a soft glow that draws customers in.

The result is a kiosk where brand identity, customer experience, and material performance converge – with MEGANITE setting the stage for a space as refined and enticing as the desserts it showcases.
