Landscaping and Paving with Natural Stone

The paving that you choose when landscaping your garden or paving around the swimming pool not only adds value to your home but captures the atmosphere that you want to relax or entertain in.  Outdoor living is proving to be very popular and many of us are redesigning our outdoor spaces to bring the outdoors in. Natural stone quickly provides the perfect theme and mood to any outdoor space.

Sydney Stone Company specialises in supplying natural stone products to many residential and commercial projects throughout Sydney. Trends are moving towards larger format pavers, such as 500mm × 500mm square pavers, rectangles of 600mm × 400mm and beautiful 800mm × 400mm pavers for a stunning effect.

Sydney Stone Company stocks sandstone in four different colours —White, Honey, Light Banded and the new Sandsomir Gold from Indonesia — together with granites from white through to black as well as bluestone paving. Sydney Stone Company gives everyone the opportunity to create a casual or formal landscaped area with low-maintenance products.

All products offered by Sydney Stone Company are slip rated, so you know that they are safe for around swimming pools. Flamed and brushed finishes to granites and bluestone are recommended for great non-slip surfaces but are not hard on the feet. Saltwater pools can damage natural sandstone, so switching to a chlorine or magnesium pool are the best options if you want a sandstone surround.

Sandstone paving has a beautiful, soft, honed finish. Using the same coloured sandstone in a rocky-faced wall cladding for your adjoining garden beds and a few chunky bullnose step treads and stepping stones links all the individual features together.

New to the market this year is Sydney Stones’s Indonesian range, with prices starting from only $65 per square metre.

There’s also inexpensive sandstone paving, step treads and wall cladding as well as the very attractive Rocky Road Stack Stone. This new stacked-stone product will take the market by storm and is easily laid. Its neutral format would blend seamlessly with any colour scheme.

Sydney Stone Company is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm and has a detailed website at www.sydneystone.com.au
