String lights

Designed by Michael Anastassiades for FLOS, String lights are an indoor lighting system of diffuse, suspended, dedicated LED and architectural light fittings.

Inspired by the perfectly parallel power cables suspended between electricity pylons, Michael Anastassiades decided to design a system of products that used the power supply cable as both the suspension and feature of the lights.

Supplied as either a 12 or 22m pre-wired length of black Kevlar-reinforced coaxial cable and available with a spherical or conical body, String lights produce a controllable diffuse light from the dedicated warm white 26W LED source.

The cable can be strung across the room in numerous combinations and is connected to a power supply that can be wall or ceiling mounted. The light fittings can be individually dimmed by touch or by using an app with an Apple or Android device. Available at Euroluce; euroluce.com.au
