Sun Ranch: A paradigm of luxury and creativity in Byron Bay's Hinterland

In the heart of Byron Bay’s hinterland lies a sanctuary of unparalleled luxury and creativity: Sun Ranch.

Spread across 55 acres of coastal estate, Sun Ranch offers an escape from the ordinary, inviting guests into a world where every detail tells a story of collaboration and innovation.

At the helm of this extraordinary property is a collective of visionaries from the creative and hospitality industries, who have meticulously crafted a space that transcends the boundaries of traditional luxury stays.

The crown jewel of Sun Ranch is The Rambler Longhouse, a meticulously designed five-room luxury guest house that seamlessly blends ’70s California Ranch nostalgia with Spanish influences. Accompanying this masterpiece are six two-bedroom barns, offering accommodation for up to 34 guests.

However, Sun Ranch is much more than just a place to rest one’s head. It is a playground of experiences, boasting an array of amenities and activities designed to indulge the senses. The property features The Pool Club, an iconic 25-meter hillside pool with dining and lounging areas, Stoney Ridge, a serene spot for meditation or celebration, and The Field House, an alfresco dining space with seating for up to 60 guests. Additionally, guests can unwind in the wood-fired floating sauna or explore the expansive grounds on horseback with onsite horseback riding offered by Zephyr Horses.

The creative collaboration extends beyond the physical spaces at Sun Ranch. Co-founders and Creative Directors Jamie Blakey and Julia Ashwood, along with the wider Sun Ranch group, have worked closely with Balanced Earth Architects to bring their vision to life. The result is a harmonious blend of bygone charm and modern elegance, where every element has been carefully considered to create an atmosphere of unbridled luxury.

But perhaps the most captivating aspect of Sun Ranch is its commitment to providing a sensory experience like no other. From curated artwork to vintage furniture and a carefully curated soundscape, every detail has been meticulously curated to captivate and inspire guests.

In a world where cookie-cutter experiences reign supreme, Sun Ranch stands as a beacon of creativity and innovation, offering guests a truly exceptional retreat in the heart of Byron Bay’s hinterland.
