Sydney Indesign kicks off today!

So, what’s happening? Sydney Indesign is all about serving up a whole buffet of design-related events and creative activities. The Home Design team and the industry-savvy editors of Indesign, Habitus and DQ magazines will be on the scene, as well as some seriously cool exhibitor events.

This year’s event is the biggest they’ve ever done. So to make your event journey easier, they’ve crafted the ultimate design kit so you can master your very own #SID15 experience.

We’re particularly excited to see this year’s Launch Pad finalists. The Launch Pad program is an important design initiative which leads by example in the support and development of Australian product design. It provides the local and international design community with a vital avenue to nurture and celebrate original, authentic and innovative emerging Australian design, essentially cultivating the careers of those designers involved.

The depth and breadth of Launch Pad goes far beyond its annual exhibition of prototypes, promoting real relationships between people, ideas and products in design.

In 2015, Sydney Indesign’s extensive network of exhibitors takes over the city, forming a vivid constellation of iconic touch-points, spread across six major design precincts. The showrooms are the real coup of the event, and it has never been easier to get amongst your favourite movers and shakers.

Hop-on Hop-off shuttles are running between Alexandria, Chippendale, Darlinghurst, Eveleigh, Redfern/Waterloo and Surry Hills to make it easy and simple for attendees to circulate among Sydney’s hero showrooms and the Australian Technology Park, and immerse themselves in the design culture of each prized location.
