Spanish architecture studio El Departamento has unveiled the latest flagship store for streetwear label Nude Project, bringing a bold fusion of Hollywood glamour and urban energy to the heart of Madrid. Designed by studio founders Alberto Eltini and Marina Martín, the new Nude House embodies the fashion brand’s growing vision of immersive retail spaces, building on its presence across Barcelona, Lisbon, Valencia, Ibiza, Bilbao and Milan.
Located in the vibrant city centre, the 195-square-metre store stands apart with its open, fluid layout and nearly four-metre-high ceilings. Rather than adopting a traditional retail model, Nude House functions like a contemporary open house, inviting visitors into a flowing, residential-style environment.
Stepping inside, guests are greeted by a circular counter crafted from wood and steel, illuminated by a backlit Nude Project logo. This entrance space, which doubles as a relaxed lounge, is complete with low-slung sofas and a curved library shelf lined with books and branded memorabilia. Underfoot, a soft terrazzo floor in white and green tones sets a vintage mood, enhanced by technical lighting from Ilumisa that spotlights the label’s latest collections.
Moving deeper into the space, a retro-inspired hallway leads to the music room—a warm, intimate retreat wrapped in dark timber. Here, floor-to-ceiling shelves showcase curated vinyl collections alongside sculptural Aurefect speakers and green leather armchairs, all set atop a vintage Persian rug sourced from Home Carpets. A velvet emerald ceiling and a softly glowing Tekio lamp by Santa & Cole reinforce the store’s domestic atmosphere.
The final destination is the game room, where a poker table doubles as a product display. Baby blue flooring, softly curved wood shelving, stainless steel accents and a backlit coffered ceiling create a cinematic setting for expression, self-discovery and community—an ethos at the heart of both El Departamento’s design and Nude Project’s brand identity.
The Madrid flagship not only redefines retail for Nude Project but also demonstrates El Departamento’s skill in creating experiential spaces that feel both intimate and iconic.
