Kaynemaile Interior Ceiling Features are a simple and cost effective way to create dramatic centre pieces for foyers, reception and entrance areas or anywhere you need a feature design element. Kaynemaile architectural mesh is super lightweight at only 3kgs per square metre which means our ceiling features can easily be incorporated into new or existing builds without excessive framework or costly structural support.
One of the unique properties of Kaynemaile mesh is that it can be manufactured in continuous lengths without joins or seams – this makes it ideal for feature pieces in auditoriums and civic spaces where large ceiling heights and open floor plans are common place. This unique property was one of the key reasons Kaynemaile ceiling features where selected for the YouTube Theatre which recently opened in California. Renowned Dallas based architects HKS designed a 94 metre long continuous feature piece that winds through the foyer breaking up the spaces and providing a backdrop for architectural lighting.

Thanks to Kaynemaile’s simple hanging system curved and wave-shaped ceiling features can easily be manufactured. Both larger waves and more sharply defined bends are possible through the use of a custom bent stainless steel hanging tube, giving design freedom that other systems simply can’t match. For smaller projects different screen hights can be incorporated and simple wave shapes can be repeated to build impact and provide a welcoming focal point. For the foyer of the Crowne Plaza Hotel the designer used a nearby winding river as inspiration, nestling the screens around each other. Well placed architectural lighting between the screens brings out the warmth of the bronze coloured mesh.

With Kaynemaile ceiling features the top line of each screen is horizontal and the top and bottom lines should be parallel.
Kaynemaile hanging systems are simple to incorporate and suit most scenarios. Electrical, HVAC and other ceiling conditions can be worked around with a suspended cable style fixing system, enabling ceiling features to drop below any interfering elements and giving flexibility with fixing locations.
