Check-out the kitchen and bathrooms in this white-hot tropical haven by style queen, Kelly Hoppen. Footprints, Kelly’s latest project, situated on the exotic island of Barbados, draws inspiration from the surrounding tropical climate and idyllic views of its location. The result is a 7000-square-feet beach house with a light and inviting atmosphere. Located at Saint James, known as a playground for the rich and famous, the property was formerly the holiday home of famed British comedian Bob Monkhouse.
Spread over four floors, including a basement, the residence comprises five bedrooms, all of which feature an ensuite with the exception of one.
As it was previously divided into several apartments, the main challenge for Kelly was to create spaces that are both practical and functional. The client procured the kitchen unit, and the table was made locally, with four Danetti chairs positioned on one side and three SCP lamps, which hang from the ceiling.
The dining room is the epitome of indoor/outdoor island living, with a table that was sourced and made locally, accompanied by Kettal chairs and Bover lamps.
Naturally, the light and airy elevated master suite is open to uninterrupted views of the Caribbean Sea.
Meanwhile, the sumptuous master bathroom, which looks out to the sea features a stool and cube side table from Gervasoni.
Footprints represents modern yet relaxed island living at its best.
