Yeerongpilly Green masterplan launched in Brisbane

The masterplan model for Brisbane’s $850 million Yeerongpilly Green development has been released, with the first residential properties hitting the market.

When completed, the site will be home to 3000 new residents, 28,000 square-metres of commercial space, a 8750 square-metre retail and dining precinct and close to two hectares of parklands.

Consolidated Properties, led by Don O’Rorke, won the government tender in 2015 to develop the riverside site five kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD and are partnering with CVS Lane Capital Partners.

QLD Minister for State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning Cameron Dick said the new modelling gives the community a detailed understanding of what the urban renewal project will bring.

“Working with our development partner Consolidated Properties, construction at Yeerongpilly Green over the next 10 years will generate around 6600 construction jobs, including 335 apprentice jobs, and 1000 full-time jobs upon completion,” Mr Dick said.

“Yeerongpilly Green will be an exciting urban village for the southside of Brisbane.

“Launching the first public release to market of the residential stage is a major milestone,” he said.

Off-the-plan sales of the first apartments and terrace homes began in early August.

Three boutique buildings, Park House, Garden House and Green Terraces, are expected to begin construction in early 2020.

Member for Miller Mark Bailey said key components of the development’s $17.7 million stage two phase have already been completed two months ahead of schedule.

“These combined works supported 58 jobs and together make the riverside community one of Brisbane’s best transit-oriented precincts,” Mr Bailey said.

“The opening of a new River Park and cycleway along King Arthur Terrace to connect to Brisbane’s iconic River Loop cycleway will not only be enjoyed by future residents and the local community, but is an important first step in creating this urban village as a landmark destination in Brisbane’s south,” he said.

In a nearby suburb, Yeronga Priority Development Approval has also recently been announced on the former site of Yeronga TAFE.
