Melbourne-based PHOENIX receives acclaim for tapware
Phoenix Tapware’s Melbourne-based Design/Research and Development Team has received well deserved recognition for outstanding design and innovation on the world stage, having won both a Red Dot and an iF Design Award for the newly released Lexi MKII collection.
The two awards programs are among the most prestigious design award programs in the world.

The iF Design Award 2021 was judged by 98 high profile design experts from over 20 nations and Red Dot judged by 50 international experts.
The iF® Design Award program takes place annually and is organised by iF International Forum Design GmbH. First awarded in 1953, it is the oldest independent design seal in the world and is a symbol of outstanding design achievements that focuses on the innovative power of design.
Designed by Phoenix’s in-house Design Team, Lexi MKII builds on the distinctive linear profile of Lexi with a sleeker, more sophisticated aesthetic. The slender profiled outlet and pin handle is now elongated and sits vertically, offering a more streamlined and complex engineering element. A standout feature of the new collection is the energy saving Cold Start cartridge technology as featured in the Lexi MKII Basin and Vessel Mixers, which have both achieved a WELS 6-star rating for water efficiency.
In addition, the iF World Design Guide has rated Phoenix as the fourth best company in Australia for product design, and Phoenix’s design team as the second-best in-house design team in Australia, true testament to the team’s utterly un-compromising approach to design excellence.
