Antolini transforms semi-precious stone into statement bathroom surfaces

Italian stone specialist Antolini is showcasing the decorative potential of natural materials with its Precioustone Collection, a series of surfaces crafted from semi-precious stones that bring striking colour, texture and luminosity to kitchens, bathrooms and luxury interiors.

Comprising more than 130 distinctive varieties, the collection transforms gemstones including amethyst, quartz, agate and jasper into large-format slabs designed for high-end residential, hospitality and wellness projects.

The collection is particularly suited to bathrooms and kitchens, where feature walls, splashbacks, benchtops and vanity surrounds can become sculptural focal points. Each slab showcases clusters of carefully cut semi-precious stones, revealing intricate crystalline structures and rich natural variation that cannot be replicated by manufactured materials.

One of the defining qualities of the Precioustone Collection is its ability to be backlit. The translucent properties of selected stones allow light to filter through the material, highlighting layers of colour and crystalline depth while creating an atmospheric glow that transforms the surrounding space.

Among the collection’s signature materials is Amethyst Original, celebrated for its rich violet tones and complex crystalline formations. Crystal Quartz offers a lighter palette with icy transparency and earthy undertones, while Blue Agate introduces dramatic ultramarine swirls that create a bold visual statement. Black Petrified Wood provides a different expression altogether, preserving the organic veining and intricate patterns of ancient fossilised timber within a refined stone surface.

Beyond their visual appeal, the stones also carry cultural significance for those drawn to crystal healing, where gemstones are associated with physical, emotional and mental wellbeing.
