Designers — Inventing the Future

DESIGN20eleven Conference and Awards Gala

The DESIGN20eleven conference is  just three months away and here at the KBDi office we are putting the final touches to another exciting KBDi conference program.

Designers — Inventing the Future is this year’s conference theme. Steve Tighe, one of Australia’s most compelling speakers on the future and innovation, will head the list of interesting and motivating speakers. Steve is recognised for his thought-provoking observations on today’s society and his ability to express key insights about the future in an engaging and entertaining fashion.

Steve is renowned for his clever use of metaphor, images and case studies, taking his audience on a virtual journey into the future, while alerting them to the drivers of change and the implications for their businesses.

Steve’s presentations focus on Australia’s evolving values and emerging trends and how these changes are re-shaping every aspect of our lifestyles including housing, consumption, employment, commuting, and the cities we choose to live in!

Steve Tighe’s keynote address will be a not-to-be-missed conference highlight.

Our four conference sessions will continue the theme as we explore eMarketing and eBusiness and take inspiration from applying colour physiology to future trends.  We will build on last year’s topic of protecting yourself as a designer through the use of contracts and fee structures as we look at protection using insurance — what types and how much — and we’ll discover the latest trends and styles from Interzum 2011.

In addition, the usual social program will be on again, topping it all off with a fabulous Awards Gala on Saturday night.
