Room of the Year Competition is open!
Introducing, Room Of The Year Competition 2024 – the very first! You can enter your room, installed with Godfrey Hirst, Hycraft by Godfrey Hirst, Feltex, Redbook Carpet or Redbook Hard Flooring for a chance to win! Homeowners and retail stores who have recently completed a project featuring carpet or hard flooring by Godfrey Hirst, Hycraft by Godfrey Hirst, Feltex or Redbook are invited to submit rooms that show flooring integrated into overall design.

The competition provides an opportunity to celebrate flooring as the fifth wall. As one of the largest areas in a room, the floor contributes to the overall aesthetic and ambiance of the space. This competition aims to showcase rooms with great design that effortlessly harmonise form and function, creating spaces that captivate the senses while seamlessly enhancing the practical aspects of daily living.
Expert Judge
With an extensive career spanning over 30 years, Bree Leech is an Interior Designer renowned for her expertise in trend forecasting and styling. A maestro in colour, Bree approaches each project with a commitment to creating aesthetically appealing and emotionally rich spaces. Her projects, marked by surprises in colour, pattern clashes, and innovative use of scale, reflect a passion for gently pushing boundaries and intuitively understanding her clients’ brief. Beyond her role as an Interior Designer, she stands as a visionary trend forecaster, shaping the contemporary landscape of Australian interiors with her forward-thinking aesthetic.
Judging Criteria
For the inaugural Room of the Year, we invite you to submit projects completed from 1 January 2023 through to the closing date (31 October 2024). Entrants can submit up to 10 digital images that illustrate how flooring has enhanced the room, and a brief room description and rationale of the flooring type and colour selection.
Entries from both Australian and New Zealand home owners and/or the retail stores that have worked with the homeowner to complete the room are encouraged.

Consumers Choice 2024 – announced December 1st 2024, as voted on by the public
Prize $1000AUD for homeowners and $1000AUD for their store
