Keeping Timber Beautiful and Protected in Coastal Environments

Just a short walk from Cabarita beach, these two holiday villas offer guests a relaxing home-away-from-home. Harmoniously complementing the surrounding coastal environment, the design of the villas reflects pipi shells which are commonly seen on Cabarita beach.

Featured throughout both villas is the use of timber. Used on the interior and exterior of the villas, the timber material ties the spaces to the natural landscape and creates a consistent flow from inside to out.

Due to the effects of living near the sea, the timber features have to endure the hot Australian sun and salty sea breezes. Seeking to find a solution to keep the timber looking beautiful and durable for years to come, CUTEK® Extreme CD50 was coated onto the timber to protect the material from moisture. The CUTEK® Extreme CD50 was also paired with CUTEK® Colourtone to provide added protection against UV rays which weather the timber down.

CUTEK® products are designed to highlight the beauty of timber while powerfully protecting it; nestled among the pipis at Cabarita beach, this holiday getaway is equipped with CUTEK® Extreme CD50 to withstand the natural elements that make Cabarita an ideal destination.
