Aquatio Bathroom Range

Italian surface manufacturer Casalgrande Padana has launched its first collection of bathroom furniture and accessories, including washbasins, shower trays and shelves.

Named Aquatio, the range is made using Casalgrande Padana’s porcelain stoneware. The designs are intended to recall the iridescent shimmering of light on water, with a range of finishes available including polished or natural texture options.

Built-in sinks with a slot drain form part of the collection. A single-basin option is available in either 90-centimetre width or 120 centimetres, while a 180-centimetre-wide double-basin is also included.

“Aquatio stands out for its clean lines, essential design, and customisable dimensions, allowing architects and designers to create bathroom furnishings tailored to their needs,” said the brand. “This way, Casalgrande Padana porcelain stoneware tiles become the true star of the bathroom.”

Freestanding truncated pyramid washbasins also feature, as well as countertop washbasins in a range of sizes. Shower trays with channel drains and thermoformed shower trays are both included in a range of sizes, all with a removable drain grate and a slightly sloping surface to facilitate water runoff. A range of shelves, and countertops with or without a drain hole, complete the Aquatio collection.

Hardwearing, non-absorbent, fire-resistant and hypoallergenic, porcelain stoneware is a highly durable and versatile material.

Conventionally it has been mostly used for floors and walls, but brands such as Casalgrande Padana are increasingly experimenting with applications for other elements of interior design and relatively smaller and freestanding furniture.
