Gaggenau Kitchen of the Year Design Contest 2023

Gaggenau Australia is pleased to announce the return of the Gaggenau Kitchen of the Year Design Contest after the success of the inaugural awards.

As a brand renowned for its craftsmanship, heritage and avant-garde design, the Gaggenau Kitchen of the Year awards will acknowledge kitchens that speak to the pursuit of excellence. As the kitchen is the heart of the home, we seek projects that are the centre of life, each bringing materiality, function and technology to the fore.

Open to professional kitchen designers, architects, interior designers, builders and developers from Australia, the Gaggenau Kitchen of the Year seeks those taking their design to the next level and raising the bar, particularly when it comes to kitchens, these visionaries deserve to be recognised for their achievements.

Entries will be judged by a distinguished panel of industry leaders and professionals from across the design community. The submissions will be graded based on a number of criteria including authenticity and originality of the design; response to the client brief; performance and end user considerations; quality of execution; and the integration of Gaggenau.

As an industry leader, Gaggenau has been incorporated into luxury kitchens all around the world, with architects, designers and specifiers selecting products that deliver an unparalleled kitchen experience. The Gaggenau Kitchen of the Year Design Contest will showcase noteworthy kitchen design from around Australia.

Entries open 1 November 2022 and close 30 April 2023. There are two entry categories: Luxury Home and Multi-Residential for projects completed after the 1 May 2021.

The grand prize for the Best of the Best is an exclusive trip for two to Europe, inclusive of return airfares, 5-star accommodation and all transfers, while the runners up will be treated to an exquisite Australian culinary experience.

The shortlist will be announced at the end of July 2023 with the winner’s ceremony held in September 2023. We look forward to seeing the exceptional calibre of design that our Australian design community is renowned for.

Founded by leading appliance brand Gaggenau in October 2020, the Kitchen of the Year Design Contest was created to honour truly unique and outstanding kitchen design.
