The show has also achieved the highest number of exhibitor bookings and speaker confirmations of any first-year edition in Oliver Kinross’ global series of city focused construction expos.

Oliver Kinross is part of the Nineteen Group and specialises in construction shows for mega-cities with high GDP, strong population growth and significant requirements for
new construction. Melbourne ticks all the boxes. The city is experiencing rapid population growth and is set to overtake Sydney as Australia’s most populous city. Significant investment in infrastructure projects such as roads and rail, combined with a pressing housing crisis driving major new home building, makes Melbourne an ideal location for a dedicated construction event. The success of Melbourne Build reflects the clear need for a forum where industry leaders can discuss and plan for the future growth of this major city.

“Melbourne Build has surpassed all expectations,” said Stephanie Li, Marketing Manager at Oliver Kinross. “It’s already on an unprecedented 18,000 registered attendees for a launch show. The huge interest we’ve had in Melbourne Build reinforces the importance of a construction show and forum for the rapidly growing city of Melbourne. By the time of the show, we envisage in the region of 30,000 attendee registrations, with representation from all the main players in its construction industry.”

The event will be officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Melbourne and is supported by the Premier of Victoria. Its comprehensive content programme and attendance include all the major contractors, architects, developers and house builders active in the region, further underlining the event’s status as a key industry gathering.

The record-breaking launch of Melbourne Build sets a new benchmark for Oliver Kinross as part of the Nineteen Group, as it continues to expand its global footprint. The
company’s successful launch strategy, combined with Melbourne’s thriving construction market, has created a unique opportunity that is resonating strongly across the industry.
