Nestled into the fields of Mallorca, The Lodge is the latest boutique hotel by Unico Hotels that is housed inside a converted 16th century farmhouse.
The farmhouse-turned-hotel occupies a 157-hectare estate with the hotels public spaces and six guest rooms located inside the renovated farmhouse. The other 18 suites are dotted around the property and modelled off the remaining walls of the original farms outbuildings.
The texture-heavy, colour-sparse palette can be seen throughout the hotel from the private suites to public areas, the hotel bares a beautiful, natural and organic design palette. Restoring the farmhouse into a boutique hotel interior was a hefty task for interior designer Pilar Garcia-Nieto, but nonetheless the final results produced luxurious interiors that allow the hotels farmhouse heritage to seep through.
The farm’s original tafona – a stone mill used for making olive oil – now stands as a centre piece in the hotels reception area. Along the lines of respecting the hotels heritage, many of the original stone walls are left exposed to represent the hotels history. These original materials are then complemented with new and vintage furniture pieces that add to the high-quality finish of the hotel.
This picturesque hotel provides guests a relaxing getaway that is elevated by the serene, luxurious interior design.
