Educate 1000 is a national education campaign designed to deepen a culture of performance, compliance and collaboration in Australia’s residential building industry.
Many new homes and renovations, as-built, aren’t meeting building code requirements for energy use and thermal comfort. For Australia’s residential building industry to become net zero emissions by 2050, enhanced skills are required to get the job done.
Enter the Educate 1000 Campaign. It explores design and construction considerations to optimise the thermal performance of a home as-built, without extra costs. Suitable for residential architects, building designers, draftsman, builders, tradies, certifiers and consultants who are working on renovations or new builds.
Their most recent seminar called ‘High Performance Homes’ was held in Sydney on 28 September 2017 and attracted 45 attendees. They gained knowledge and insights from fabulous guest speakers – Dick Clarke, Dr Kevin Yee, Chris Knierim, Nick Sowden and Cameron Rosen (MC).
Seminars and workshops will be held around Australia from September 2017 to November 2018.
