“Throw away the stark and sterile idea of a white kitchen; this room’s inviting warm colours add to its allure. The Jakarta teak cabinets, Malt Shake paint and brown granite are a match made in heaven. The sweetness of each colour balances the darker granite that could otherwise look overpowering. The unusual shape of the bench and breakfast bar gives the kitchen that feel of being a separate entity of the home, while the lighting in this area offers a chic finish. The use of downlighting in the rest of the kitchen modernises the space and also gives the walls and cabinets a luxurious glow.”
