NEW COURSE FOR MANUFACTURING:Certificate in Cabinet & Joinery Detailing

This course has been developed after much consultation with industry and targets those detailing built in cabinetry or joinery for production purposes within the manufacturing sector. The course is comprehensive taking a holistic approach to the role of a cabinet and joinery detailer and prepares the participant for the varied roles, skills and knowledge required of this technical position.

It is suitable for those wanting to advance their career in the manufacturing sector with a specialty area of expertise or those who are exploring a new career path and have a general interest or understanding of trade, design, manufacturing or engineering.

Employment outcomes include a role within a cabinet making business or other specialty shop fitting or joinery company where a specialist detailer is required to interpret design requirements and prepare machine ready working documents for procurement, purchasing, manufacture and installation. This role works closely with factory operations and machining processes.

Study mode: Distance Education

The course requires participants to undertake distance education in their own time and place

Course Duration and Delivery: 9 to 12 months part time

The course is delivered part time through distance education and includes electronic books, virtual lectures and private online tutorials. Whilst this course is designed to be completed within nine months, each participant has up to twelve months to complete.
