Simply superb

This newly built family home needed a kitchen that would keep the whole family happy. Storage and bench space were obviously vitally important, as was the use of hard-wearing and durable materials. However, as well as being highly practical, the space also needed to look visually stunning. Modern good looks and plenty of clean lines were the order of the day.

In order to meet the brief of a kitchen that looked good and could also survive the hustle and bustle of daily family use, all the materials had to be carefully chosen. The centrepiece of the kitchen is the island bench, which features the stunning use of Calacatta marble with waterfall edges from CDK Stone.

This beautiful use of natural stone helps set the kitchen apart from the crowd, while the island also offers plenty of bench space. The addition of stylish seating makes this bench a good spot for some casual dining or for kids to do their homework after school.

Storage space abounds with plenty of drawers and cabinets plus a large walk-in pantry. There are also huge one-metre-long drawers for all of the family’s utensils, cutlery and pots and pans. Sleek fingerpulls rather than handles create a minimalist look, while at the same time ensure this kitchen is easy to clean.

The glass induction hob from Bosch is also very simple to maintain, while soft-close drawers are a nice modern touch. With a built-in vacuum waste unit included in the design, there’s no excuse for this kitchen to be anything other than spick and span.

Dual ovens, a feature seen in more and more kitchens these days, are perfect for entertaining and allow cooking at different temperatures.
And with the splashback able to be used as a family blackboard, this modern and functional kitchen becomes the perfect family space.
