Your Professional Design Guide

Design Ideas: inspired by i Salone 2012 is a full-colour, inspirational book that showcases some of the stunning displays seen at the world’s most prestigious kitchen and bathroom interiors fair, i Salone, held in Milan, Italy. i Salone brings together a number of exhibitions in one place. Every two years it includes Eurocucina, FTK and the International Bathroom Exhibition.

Intended as an essential addition to every designer’s resource library,  Design Ideas ticks all the boxes-not just for architects, building designers, interior designers and specialist kitchen and bathroom designers-but also for the whole building industry and its clients.  Design Ideas presents cutting-edge products and services, new colours and finishes and design inspirations that reflect current global trends.

Design Ideas author (and former Managing Editor of Kitchens & Bathrooms Quarterly) Melanie Gardener said, "i Salone provides a chance for designers to show off their talents, and by keeping in touch with the latest looks Australian designers remain at the top of their field."

Industry award-winning designer Sam Robinson, of Sam Robinson Interior Design, consults a wide variety of resource books to ensure that she stays current with trends. "Design Ideas is a fabulous creation for both design professionals and anyone considering renovation or building," Sam said. "The script is relevant and clear, with well-constructed text accompanying the images. The construction details are informative and inspirational without being confusing. The images are well-defined and accurate. I have no hesitation in recommending this publication for anyone’s resource library."

Highly respected designer, Royston Wilson, of Royston Wilson Design, is also enthusiastic about Design Ideas. "I am paid to do trending for a large organisation – in fact I’ve been doing it for years – and I believe that Design Ideas is worth a look," Royston said. "This is a trend resource that is well put together and very professional. It is imperative that we, as designers, keep an eye on what our cousins in Europe are doing, and that we be open to resources such as this because by doing so, we allow ideas and inspiration to flow and develop into working concepts."

Priced at $55 (inc GST, plus freight), Design Ideas: inspired by i Salone 2012 is available from the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute, (KBDi).
