AIA launches consumer engagement program

Recently, the Australian Institute of Architects launched its new consumer engagement program: Ask an Architect. This new website offers a wide range of information about architects and architecture including tips, fact sheets, tools, videos, an events calendar and an inspiration gallery.

Institute national president, David Karotkin, says, “This is a great new initiative that is designed to increase public awareness of architects. The program is particularly focused on the residential consumer market and will provide opportunities for potential clients to engage with all of our members, as well as the wider profession.”
An Institute initiative, Ask an Architect is funded and delivered through the wholly owned subsidiary business, Archicentre. It forms part of the Institute’s overall strategy to promote the value of design and the role that architects play in delivering positive design outcomes. The program has been developed drawing on extensive research into consumer behaviours, engagement mechanisms and awareness of the value of architecture.
