Fortis receives green light for Kangaroo Point's luxury apartment tower

In a significant stride for the Brisbane skyline, Pallas Group’s development arm, Fortis, has secured approval from the Brisbane City Council for its slender tower project in Kangaroo Point.

The luxury apartment tower, named River House, is set to redefine the precinct with its distinctive design and exclusive features.

The 15-storey River House, located at 44 O’Connell Street, received the council’s nod after meticulous planning and design by renowned firms. Plus Architecture, known for their innovative designs, is behind the tower’s overall architecture, while Mim Design has lent its expertise to create sophisticated interiors that match the project’s upscale aspirations.

Fortis, primarily recognized for its noteworthy projects in the Eastern Sydney suburbs, is making its debut in Queensland with River House. The development is poised to be a standout addition to Kangaroo Point, contributing to the area’s evolving urban landscape.

Scheduled to commence construction in the second quarter of the upcoming year, River House will occupy a 1196sq m site. The tower is set to house 14 three-bedroom apartments, each epitomizing luxury and modern design principles. The emphasis on spacious three-bedroom homes aligns with contemporary living preferences, offering a perfect blend of comfort and elegance.

The tower is aimed at young families, and signifies that “the top-end of the market in Brisbane remains strong”, the developer said.
