Turck has released its next-generation FS+ Flow Sensor. The latest solution comes with an alphanumeric display (four-digit, 12-segment) that indicates process conditions locally including the flow rate value as a percentage of the setpoint. An IO-Link smart sensor profile simplifies replacement of IO-Link flow sensors from other manufacturers with FS+ devices as process data, parameters and functions are standardised.
The FS101 retains the Turck Quick Teach and Delta Flow functions that already simplify commissioning in the existing FS100. Delta Flow ensures that the teach-in is not performed until the warm-up phase of the temperature peak is completed and a constant flow is present.
Users also benefit from the trouble-free operation via capacitive touchpads. Additionally, the sensors are equipped with a screw-in adapter, with available G 1/2″, G 1/4″ and NPT 1/2″ male-threaded process connections and feature an M12 x 1 male connector for electrical connection and IP66, IP67 and IP69K protection.
These sensors are ideal for use in applications such as coolant flow monitoring in automated welding and machining processes, level control and redundant process verification in water and wastewater treatment applications.
