Staron® creates a sweet experience for customers indulging in the delights of Joli.
Staron® Solid Surfaces were selected for their seamless, non-porous and highly durable qualities, making them ideal for high traffic hospitality environments such as Joli.
The smooth surface complements the brand’s fluid, tropical inspired aesthetic, while its hygienic properties support easy maintenance in a busy food setting. Placid and Natural colour selections harmonise with the beach blue and cream white palette, reinforcing a cohesive and considered design vision.
Working with Staron® highlighted its versatility in crafting bespoke elements, including the POS bench, water station and feature tube design. Its thermoformability enabled seamless curved forms, enhancing Joli’s soft, organic aesthetic while maintaining durability and practical performance.
Joli is a culinary delight where design reflects its delectable coconut dessert, transporting taste buds to a tropical paradise. The dominant beach blue colour mirrors tropical beaches, while smooth, fresh ingredients inspire a fluid space, creating a sweet escape experience.
Respecting the site’s heritage context, the design introduces a delicate boutique green tiled shopfront that sets the tone for the vibrant interior beyond. Upon entry, guests are welcomed by illuminated light tubes reminiscent of wind shaped sand patterns, drawing focus to the menu offerings. Inspired by Joli’s flavours of fruit, coconut and chocolate, the interior features soft, rounded forms across ceilings, doorways, counters and joinery, creating visual cues that express the brand’s playful and welcoming character.
Joli’s design harmonises with its brand personality, exuding childlike wonder and tropical adventure. This playful yet laidback dessert store captures attention and interest through refined, subtle design details.
