One Surface, Two Coastal Apartments: Kazakh Ribbon Chosen by Infinite Interior Design & Renovations

Two apartments. One design studio. One surface, chosen to let the light and the life of each home take the lead.
For Infinite Interior Design & Renovations, Vadara Kazakh Ribbon became the common thread across two recent apartment renovations: a coastal kitchen on Coolangatta’s Marine Parade and a whole-home transformation at Kooringal.

Different briefs, different rooms, and the same soft veining moving through both. Here is how one mineral surface shaped two very different homes.

Coolangatta: a kitchen that keeps up with the view

On Marine Parade, Qld, the ocean writes the brief. Infinite Interior design & Renovations answered it with Kazakh Ribbon in a 20mm profile: a soft white mineral surface with gentle veining that catches the coastal light and carries it deep into the room.

The benchtop grounds the space so every detail can shine. A fluted timber island brings warmth and texture. Rattan pendants add a relaxed, handcrafted note. Glossy blue handmade tiles echo the water just beyond the window.

Nothing competes and everything belongs. It is a kitchen designed for slow breakfasts, salty afternoons and long summer evenings, and the owners absolutely loved the result.

Kooringal: one surface, unite the whole apartment

At Kooringal, Kazakh Ribbon travels. Infinite carried it from the kitchen through the bathrooms and laundry, all in the same 20mm profile, so the apartment reads as one considered home rather than a series of separate rooms.

In the kitchen, the surface wraps the waterfall end, letting soft grey veining flow from benchtop to floor across a crisp white base. In the wet areas, that same veining brings calm and continuity, a familiar note in every space you step into.

It is a simple idea with a powerful payoff. When one material connects every room, a home feels brighter, more spacious and beautifully resolved.

In the designer’s words

For Mandie and the design team, the choice came down to value, variety and a finish that delivers on both.

“We chose Vadara because their Builders Range offers great value, and in consultation with our clients, Vadara had a broader selection of finishes within that range. The soft veining throughout the Kazakh Ribbon in a 20mm profile is subtle yet eye-catching.”

The experience behind the surface mattered just as much.

“Overall, our experience with our Vadara representative has been exceptional. They have been attentive, communicative and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you for the fabulous customer service!”

The thread that ties it together

Kazakh Ribbon proves that value and impact can share the same benchtop. As part of Vadara’s Builders Range, it gives designers a broader palette of finishes at a level that works for renovation budgets, with no compromise on the result.

Its veining is soft enough to support bold partners like blue handmade tile and fluted timber, and confident enough to carry a whole home on its own. As a zero silica Vadara Mineral Surface, it is also a choice designers can specify with complete confidence.

Thank you to Mandie and the Infinite Interior Design & Renovations team for two inspiring projects and for your kind words.
