It’s no surprise this sleek bathroom took out a Corian® Design Award
When your brief is to create something modern, lines play a large part in achieving your goal and the designers at Ian Moore Architects clearly took this into consideration when transforming a rudimentary 1975 warehouse bathroom. The strong, angular shapes in this featured room clearly help take it from what could have been a wonder-less white bathroom into a cool, contemporary area that anyone would be proud of.
These lines are provided courtesy of the walls, floor and custom-designed vanity basin fabricated from Corian®. This surface is seamless, making it easy to maintain and, again, keeping that linear flow going.
A full wall of mirrors, incorporating four large storage cabinets, is another element that takes the angular theme that Corian® started further, while giving the impression of more space at the same time. There’s also no traditional shower enclosure, which really opens up the bathroom area and gives the feeling of roominess.
This extra space helps to give the bathroom that modern feel and since this bathroom was the winner of the Corian® Design Award Residential Category Edition 4 in 2010, clearly we are not the only ones who think so! It’s hard to believe that this modern miracle was once a rudimentary bathroom.
