Architectural Oak: The New Standard in Premium Timber

Flooring plays a key role in defining the look and feel of a home. It grounds the architecture and brings balance and warmth to a space. With this understanding, Embelton Flooring introduces Architectural Oak, its most premium timber range to date and a new benchmark in refined timber flooring.

Architectural Oak has been created for architectural and high-end projects where consistency, finish and material quality are essential. Sitting at the very top of Embelton’s timber portfolio, this collection reflects a deliberate move towards greater refinement and selectivity, offering a timber floor that feels calm, considered and enduring.

The Value of AB Grade Timber

What truly defines Architectural Oak is its exclusive use of AB Grade timber, a first for Embelton Flooring. Timber grading has a significant impact on the final look of a floor. Mixed grades such as ABCD often include a wide range of natural features like knots, colour variation and mineral markings, resulting in a more rustic or expressive appearance.

AB Grade timber, by contrast, is far more selective. Architectural Oak uses only boards chosen for their minimal knots, subtle natural character and beautifully consistent grain. The result is a surface that feels clean and composed, allowing the architecture of a space to speak clearly without visual distraction. This level of refinement makes AB Grade timber particularly suited to contemporary interiors and design led homes where restraint and balance are key.

Designed for Architectural Spaces

Every board in the Architectural Oak range is crafted with care and precision. The finish is smooth and refined, offering a tactile quality that feels as good underfoot as it looks. This collection has been designed to perform seamlessly across open plan living areas, private retreats and entire homes, creating a sense of continuity from room to room.

Architectural Oak is especially well suited to projects where longevity and timeless appeal are priorities. Its restrained character pairs effortlessly with natural stone, soft textiles and sculptural furniture, while its consistency ensures it will age gracefully over time.

A Considered Colour Palette

The launch collection draws inspiration from Embelton’s most loved Luxury Oak tones, reinterpreted in a more refined AB Grade format. These colours have been selected for their versatility and ability to complement a wide range of interior styles.

Architectural Oak is available in eight colours across standard boards and wideboards. The standard board colours include Blonde Oak, Beach Oak, Amalfi and Capri. The wideboard selection features also features Blonde Oak and Beach Oak, along with Sorrento and Sola.

A New Standard in Timber Flooring

As Embelton’s first AB Grade only collection, Architectural Oak represents a meaningful step forward in the brand’s commitment to premium design and material excellence. It is a range created for those who value craftsmanship, detail and timeless design, and who see flooring as an integral part of a home’s architecture rather than a finishing touch.

Architectural Oak offers a refined foundation for considered living, delivering elegance, consistency and quality in equal measure. It is a collection designed not just for today, but for years to come.
