The International Basketball Federation (FIBA) has given its stamp of approval to ICP Group’s California Sports Surfaces for their Rebound Ace Impact indoor polyurethane flooring system, with the surface achieving official FIBA certification for Level 2 indoor competition – a milestone that reinforces its role as the benchmark for premium basketball court flooring.
Rebound Ace Impact combines advanced polyurethane construction with a prefabricated cushioning mat, creating a point-elastic surface system which transforms how basketball feels underfoot. The 17mm total thickness incorporates multiple layers including fibreglass reinforcement and a specialised topcoat, delivering the shock absorption and controlled flexibility that keeps players performing at their peak while protecting their joints.

The surface faced FIBA’s comprehensive testing, including force reduction assessment, vertical deformation measurement, ball rebound analysis, slip resistance evaluation, wear resistance testing, and rolling load examination. These protocols prove that Rebound Ace Impact delivers the performance meets the performance consistency required for the world’s highest levels of basketball competition.
FIBA oversees basketball across 213 national federations and sets standards for everything from Olympic competition to World Cup tournaments. The organisation’s Equipment & Venue Centre maintains stringent protocols, making FIBA approval a mark of exceptional quality that few surfaces achieve.

This validates what industry professionals have long recognised – venues demanding superior performance turn to Rebound Ace Impact. FIBA approval means that facility managers can have additional confidence their flooring choice represents cutting-edge athletic surface technology, whether hosting local competitions or international events.
“Achieving FIBA certification is a proud moment for our team and a testament to the engineering behind Rebound Ace Impact,” said Caroline Field, Vice President and General Manager for Asia Pacific at ICP Group. “This system was designed with athlete safety, shock absorption, and performance consistency at its core – and it’s exciting to see that recognised on a global stage.”

Beyond basketball, the certified system supports multiple indoor court sports including netball and volleyball, maximising facility utilisation and providing international-grade performance assurance. Installation versatility across different substrates delivers enduring value for infrastructure investments.
Elite sporting organisations, educational institutions, and leading community facilities have chosen Rebound Ace Impact to elevate their venues, recognising its ability to transform multi-purpose spaces into professional-standard courts. For facilities planning basketball court flooring upgrades, FIBA certification confirms that California Sports Surfaces delivers world-class standards, backed by the sport’s most respected authority
