CB Ideal Tapware taps into the past

Fine Australian tapware and accessories

Heritage renovations and custom styling are the special areas of expertise for CB Ideal Tapware/Consolidated Brass.  Established in 1976 in Edwardstown, South Australia, the company was able to satisfy the demand for Federation-style tapware that arose in the 1980s, when the solidly built homes of former times first came to be appreciated.

Many fine, old bathrooms were restored to their former glory, or indeed re-imagined and built from scratch at that time — a process that continues to this day.

Contemporary versions of classic designs are now evolving to suit modern homes; for example, the classic bath/shower diverter can now have several different shower arrangements.  Pictured is the gooseneck shower arm and rose, but a straight arm and large rose, or a handshower and hose with cradle, is also available.  It can be mounted on the wall, on the bench or from the floor.

The diverter bath spout can be repeated in the very stylish DB Series basin mixer, either short for inset basins or tall for vessels and on-bench bowls.

The shower and bath-filler outlets can be reversed (as in the neo-classic diverter) for a contemporary spa or bath set.

These and many other configurations are available to realise the creative ideas of home lovers, whether builders or renovators.

Designs have been developed to suit Australian tastes and needs; all tapware is manufactured entirely in Australia and complies with Australian standards.
